Give OUT Day is the ONLY national day of giving for the LGBTQ community – a 24-hour online fundraising event that unites donors and nonprofit organizations from across the country to raise critically needed funds. The technology platform is provided for free and hundreds of nonprofits have leveraged it to attract new donors, motivate their boards and other supporters, and raise their visibility.

This year ElderSource Institute and ElderSource are participating in Give OUT Day to help support LGBT elders in the community. As an initiative to be inclusive to ALL PEOPLE, one of our focus areas is creating support and awareness for the elder LGBT Community. Many LGBT elders aren’t accessing needed resources as they age, because of fear and abuse. They fear who they are could compromise the services they receive. This leaves them at higher risk for social isolation and depression. Elder Source works with ElderSource Institute to help provide the community with tools they need to be more LGBT elder friendly.
