This is a 1.5 hour interactive and comprehensive course for community members and professionals who interact with and work with older adults. This training is designed to raise awareness about types of abuse, risk factors, and indicators of abuse as well as mandated reporters and the reporting process.

Learning Outcomes:

• Clear definitions of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation
• Understanding of the scope of the problem of elder abuse and the community impact
• Awareness of the indicators and risk factors as they pertain to the victims and the perpetrators
• Understanding of the mandatory reporting requirements

For this training, the following disciplines can 2 receive CEUs

Registered Nurses, Clinical Social Workers, Psychologists, Respiratory Therapists, Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors, Nursing Home Administrators, Occupational Therapists, and Dietitians and Nutrition Boards.
