Training for your Organization

ElderSource Institute provides proven education and training programs for older adults, caregivers, professionals serving older adults and individuals who care about their own aging.

We offer in-person custom scheduled training opportunities. One of our skilled trainers will come to your organization and train your staff, volunteers and/or students. See below for the in-person trainings we currently offer.

All trainings come with the option to purchase CEUs.

This is a 1.5 hour interactive training program for individuals who are interested in learning about the specific needs and challenges of older adults in the community. During this workshop, participants will experience sensory changes associated with aging through simulation. Age Sensitivity training will provide participants with valuable tools and information for working and interacting with older adults.- Eligible for 2 CEUs

This is a 1.5 hour interactive and comprehensive course for community members and professionals who interact with older adults. This training is designed to raise awareness about types of abuse, risk factors and indicators of abuse, as well as mandated reporters and the reporting process. – Eligible for 2 CEUs

This 1.5 hour informative and interactive training is designed to fill an educational gap for professionals who work with older adults; helping them to better understand key concepts, vocabulary and the many barriers faced by older adults in the LGBT community.  – Eligible for 1.5 CEUs

  • Disability Sensitivity and Inclusion

This 1 hour informative training, developed from material provided by the United Spinal Association. Disability Sensitivity and Inclusion covers basic etiquette and inclusion practices for individuals, companies and organizations who interact and work with individuals who have a disability.
